This holiday marks the end of Christmas (12th Day of Christmas) and is celebrated by people around the world in various ways. One of the most common traditions is to make and serve Rosca de Reyes also known as the King’s Cake. This is an oval-shaped pastry which is decorated with colorful fruits to represent the Kings Crown. The cake is baked with little baby shaped figurines which represents the time when Baby Jesus was hidden by Joseph and Mary from Herod. According to tradition, when the cake is given to guests, the person who receives the baby figurine must host a presentation of Baby Jesus on Candlemas Day which falls on 2 February, also known as Día de la Candelaria.

The January 6th holiday of “Día de Los Reyes” is filled with Joy and Happiness and is spent with family and friends. Latinos celebrate Día de Los Reyes across Latin America and the United States with huge parades and lavish parties to celebrate the holiday and coming of the Three Kings. Epiphany is the last day of Christmas and is celebrate in a grand way by Latinos.
